Who Its For
Anyone who needs to track multimedia files. Everyone with
a digital camera will find iView essential but its also
designed for DTP pros, photographers, publishing
professionals, scientists, educators, students, doctors,
cinematographers, cartoonists, illustrators, cd producers,
real estate agents, technologists, magazine designers,
multimedia producers, web publishers, consultants,
database developers, designers, musicians, sound pro’s,
singers, artists, and complete and total beginners.
iView is for anyone who wants to find and immediately
use a multimedia file.
What It Does
iView provides the easiest and most powerful way to view
and organize media on your Mac OS computer(s). iView is a
tool to help you to do less and accomplish more. It lets
the professional focus on their creative work and not on
learning a new piece of software. If your tired of searching
mountains of disks and CD's trying to unearth that special
photo, qtvr or clip art its time to try something new!
iView can act as your digital image database, your karaoke
jukebox, your sound library, your museum of clip art,
your PhotoShop organizer, your movie database, your font
collection, your quicktimeVR gallery, your animation
archive, your Illustrator portfolio and all your Freehand files.
iView is a new type of application one that was created
from the ground up to provide ease of use and power while
working with all kinds of multimedia files. It combines:
- a well researched, clear and simple interface,
- a small application footprint,
- background processing,
- tight integration with the most popular media editing
applications, html authoring systems, web browsers, and
word processors,
- minimal use of your desktop space, as most of its
functions can be accomplished within a single window
- uses very little disk space to catalog media files.
Underneath the simplicity of the interface lies a powerful
multimedia engine that will let you:
- import most popular MacOS/PC/SGI Web media formats,
- instant playback (Movies, GIF, sound) in any view,
- with three full featured, easily customizable views of
your media that uses natural methods of organizing your
media, both within iView's window and the finder
- fast access to media both inside your computer and
from the internet.
- export batch processing (movie making, html gallery building, etc..)
- printing of reports, images and thumbnail posters.
- slide shows with movies, sound and images
- highest quality color and sound.
Catalogs can be searched and saved on your hard disk. A
catalog can also display thumbnail images from volumes
that may not be mounted. iView will let you view the
images and prompt you to insert the volume to retrieve an
image when needed. These catalogs can be emailed to others
for viewing with or without the original media. iView
can be included with your catalogs royalty free on
commercial cd's.
iView makes extensive use of drag and drop which makes it a
pleasure to use with the finder, Photoshop and many other
applications. In fact, everything about iView is designed to
be simple, useful and intuitive. iView eliminates tedious
repetitive work and increases your ability to get the job
done. It makes image reuse and playback quick and easy. Now
individuals as well as publishers, designers, pre-press
operators and multi-media programmers will never have to
search through stacks of Zip/Jaz/SyQuest back-ups for
files ever again.
What People Say About iView
I've always preferred bits to atoms. But my Mac started
looking like my photo shoebox - stuff everywhere. I don't
need overkill. I simply need an easy-to-use, powerful,
"shoebox" organizer for my photorealistic renderings,
hi-res textures, and even digital photos of my family
vacation. iView is my solution.

I'm a freelance cartoonist. My work appears in
advertising, design, magazines, books etc. When I
discovered iView, I told a fellow cartoonist about it and,
despite his already owning a market leading commercial
package, he immediately registered iView because it
impressed him so much. We both think that Yan and Julian
have created a strong and attractive design, and we like
the simplicity and ease of use of the programme. Your
publicity should stress the amazing quality of the printed
thumbnail catalogues - a factor that would certainly be a
major selling point to professionals in my industry. In
fact, having looked at various similar programmes,
including some of the market leaders, I am convinced that
the print quality of your catalogues is the best I have seen.

Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy IView.
It's been a tremendous help in organizing the thousands of
digital photos taken at all of the 1997 Oakland Raiders
games. Great job.

I just downloaded your program iView. It is in a word
'AWESOME'. It was just what I was looking for. It is
elegantly written, completely functional, easy to use,
stable, feature-laden, aesthetically pleasing, and so on.
Further, I just read your 'future plans' memo. Wow, if
you can do all that...zzzowy.
John Zastrow
I'm already a confirmed user of CopyPaste. It's one
fantastic utility I wouldn't want to ever be without. It
should have been part of OS8 it's so essential. iView is
just essential for organizing my graphic files which have
been a mess until I got the program. Thanks for the great
work. I'll look forward to future upgrades.

In my work as a digital illustrator and programmer, I find
it particularly useful, while working on the next image,
to keep an iView document that displays thumbnail pics of
the rest open on the other monitor. It's so easy to
inspect the full-size image without having to open
another window in an image editor. It's evident that you
guys are impressively creative software developers! Keep
up the good work.

I've just downloaded your shareware 'iView' and it is
great! You have done a great job with this program. I had
been looking for a graphic organizer/database for about 5
months and last night decided to scan the shareware
goodies at shareware.com where I came across it. Living in
Malaysia (originally from Louisiana and have been here for
9 years) it is very hard and sometimes next to impossible
to find Mac support and software. I usually have to swing
down to Singapore to shop for the Mac goodies. You've
saved me a trip!

Thanks for 2.6. Iview is absolutely the greatest viewing
and cataloging app I have ever used. I couldn't be
happier with it and your support. A brilliant piece of
work. I use it daily.
Many, Many Thanks
Conrad Koerper
Thank You, Thank You, Thank you ! I'm a student, an
independent product reviewer, and starting my own
business, so the time and work your program will save has
taken a big weight off my shoulders. I have a multimedia
presentation to produce for some big companys and have
looked at several works promising much, but comming up
short. Your appeal to the public for input and to
improving a great product is all to rare. This attention
to your customer needs will insure your success. Your
site, and method of doing business is very refreshing. If
I do review your products in the future I'll contact you.
As for iView, a (10) with 5 mice. Thanks Again.
